Is science fun?
Do girls love math?
Can robots be girls?
Absolutely!
Being a mom of boys and a girl has been an amazing gift, but it’s also left me with a lot of questions like:
What’s up with the girl aisle?
Why are girls placed in a pink, glittery box?
Why do boys get the cool building toys?
As a kid, I LOVED math and science, and I wanted to share that love with my daughter just as much as my sons. Girls and boys BOTH deserve well-rounded experiences and every opportunity to be prepared not only for school but for life.
I started “Science Saturday” with the kids, and the hunt for non-princessy activities began.
We stocked up on homeschool lessons and workbooks, and I dove into Pinterest. Some of what I found was inspiring, some didn’t quite hit the mark, and some was just plain overwhelming.
So I picked what I liked, I added to it when I wanted, and I discovered some ideas of my own. It was such a hit with my kids that I was inspired to share what we were up to, and the Ribbons & Robots STEAM collection was born!

Ribbons & Robots is my STEAM story and activity collection featuring an all-girl cast of characters, fun facts, and totally doable activities for little girls (and boys) with a lot of smarts. You won’t find any pink, sparkly, princess cupcake parties here. No prince charming, either.
What you will find are fun facts, kiddie experiments, STEAM activities, and child-led creative play ideas.
At Ribbons & Robots, kids are Trailblazers.

I’d love to have you join me in this STEAM adventure!
